So what happens in a class ?
|
The things covered in a regular antenatal class are still all covered - a big part of being relaxed for birth is knowing and being comfortable with your options, confident in your ability to make choices and discussing how to work with care providers to achieve the things important to you.
A number of different techniques are taught which enable you to put yourself into deep relaxation, these are practised throughout pregnancy so that you can train your mind and body to naturally slip into them during birth. A hypnotherapy session is included in each class. Practical things are also covered regarding “what to do” on the day i.e. things such as breathing techniques which perfectly facilitate your calm birth. You will also be given a book and hypnobirthing MP3s, course folder and goody bag to take away with you. |
Proof this works - the hard stats...
